"It's Saul Good" cause Saul Good is around!

This post is for our Farm Story "hay bale god" Saul Good.  These are just a few of the latest bridge sketches that Little Schmoo (age 8) has been drawing.  Like you he has been genetically gifted.  Art runs through his blood.  Hope one day he will develop his skills and be as cool as you.  Will post more of his drawing when I get the chance but you can see that he already possesses natural artistic ability.  Tiny Schmoo loves to draw too and thinks your farm is the coolest.  Let's hope that Little Schmoo never runs into a teacher that tries to squash his artistic side like in the book Iggy Peck Architect.  So far so good.  He's had great teachers that think his art is part of what makes him special. Big props to Saul Good for being one of our coolest farm story friends.  Much love from the Schmoo family!

A surprise for our friend Maarketti

We are so glad that Maarketti and Buster are our Farm Story friends.  Chester (Schmoom) is sad that he can't play with Buster for real so Little Schmoo decided to make a "Buster bag buddy" so that Buster and Chester can play together.  Little Schmoo also made a Chester bag buddy and Tiny Schmoo made a Buster bag buddy, a Chester bag buddy, and a Titus bag buddy (Titus is a bulldog we met in a park one day and Tiny Schmoo has wanted one ever since!)  We wish we had a teleporter to send you the Chester bag buddy for Buster to play with but haven't invented one yet! lol! Little Schmoo hopes you like his latest creation.  Much love to Marketti from the Schmoo family!

June 1st Toy Story Showcase preview

Here is just a teaser of Little Schmoo's design for the June 1st Toy Story showcase.  We will be showcasing characters from the movie Toy Story with some of our favorite hay art friends: Pastas, Desire, and GraCie_N.  We can hardly wait.  We love you all! You are the best!  Thanks for entertaining my little one and agreeing to do this with him.  If this turns out well we may have to plan a different showcase each month! lol - are ya with me?

Momma Schmoo's tribute mural for Author Day at our school

Our school is having Author Day this Tuesday.  We are so excited to have children's book author Kathryn Otoshi visit our school.  Momma Schmoo decided to paint a mural to decorate our library in her honor.  The mural is about 6 feet long and is based on her book "Marcelo the Movie Mouse" which is one of Tiny Schmoo's favorites.  I also decorated another wall to go with the book "What Amy Saw" and my first grade class made coffee filter/pipe cleaner butterflies which are stapled around the border and center of the poster.  Everything  on the mural was hand painted (with the help of one of my coworkers or I would have given up and took a few weeks to do.)  I am not a real artist but enjoy it so I hope she will be pleased that we love her books so much we made one into a mural to celebrate her visit! Little Schmoo's class is one of only two in the school who will be getting an extra special art lesson.  Since I worked on the mural, my class will be the second.  I feel so lucky!!!! If you want to see the actual page my mural is based on you can check it out at the following link - http://www.kokidsbooks.com/ and look inside the book Marcelo the Movie Mouse.
P.S. - you will soon realize my mouse is not sitting on top of the theater.  Haven't quite gotten around to drawing him yet!  Better get on it, she is coming tomorrow!!!!  Procrastination is my middle name.

Just in case you missed them... previous hay art designs

For those of you new to Farm Story or in case you missed them, here are some of Little Schmoo and Tiny Schmoo's past hay art designs.
First, Little Schmoo's Golden Gate Bridge.  Second, Little Schmoo's Tower Bridge in London.  Third, Tiny Schmoo's robot and Little Schmoo's MetaKnight from Kirby.  Last, Little Schmoo made Momma Schmoo's childhood favorite Sanrio character: My Melody.  Stay tuned because there will be much more hay art to come!

For our Farm Story friend Maarketti

Just for our farm story friend Maarketti, this is our dog Chester aka Schmoom aka Schmoomoodeenoonoos playing around with his basketball.  Sorry couldn't get a better picture but he moves so fast it was hard to get a good shot of him carrying the ball around.  Wonder what Buster thinks of Schmoom's toy?  Schmoom wishes he could play with Buster.

Little Schmoo's Sanrio Shinkansen paper railway

Here is Little Schmoo (age8) showing off the play railway he designed for his Sanrio Shinkansen (bullet train) paper craft we found on-line.  The other two photos show Little and Tiny Schmoo with their collection of paper craft Shinkansen trains and Little Schmoo's lego model of a Sanrio Shinkansen (which has not yet been transferred to hay art (but will be coming one day soon!)  You can make your own Sanrio Shinkansen paper craft train by visiting the following link - Sanrio Shinkansen papercraft

Tiny Schmoo showing off his Keroppi lego art

Here is Tiny Schmoo (age 6) showing off his lego Keroppi (frog) which was eventually transfered to hay art.  Big brother Little Schmoo (age 8) helped design the body on another lego board (not shown).  Tiny also did Tuxedo Sam (the penguin) so Kerropi would have a friend.
